Arup Saha completed his Diploma in Chemical Engineering from Hooghly Institute of Technology and AMIICHE from Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers, Jadavpur, Kolkata. Currently he is a Technical Assistant, Environmental Engineering Group of CSIR-Central Mechanical Engineering Research Institute, Durgapur.

He has indulged in process for removal of excess iron & arsenic from groundwater, plastic waste disposal & energy recovery through pyrolysis. He is involved in testing of various parameter of water & waste water. He is also involved in the testing of gas analysis via Gas Chromatography (GC) and testing of water base metal analysis via Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS)

He has received the prestigious award CSIR Technology Award-2017 as team Member.
