Applications are invited under the PM VIKAS Scheme at CSIR-CMERI, Durgapur

The PM VIKAS Scheme under the Ministry of Minority Affairs is a flagship initiative aimed at empowering minority communities (Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jain and Parsis) and other EWS communities by preserving and promoting their  traditional skills, crafts and cultural heritage while linking them with modern livelihood opportunities. The scheme focuses on skill development, entrepreneurship and capacity building among artisans, craftsmen and youth from minority groups, enabling them to access better employment and market opportunities. By integrating training, financial support and market linkages, PM VIKAS seeks to enhance income generation, encourage self-reliance and ensure sustainable socio-economic development. It also emphasizes the use of modern technologies and industry partnerships to upgrade traditional practices, thereby contributing to inclusive growth and strengthening India’s diverse cultural and economic fabric.

Applications are invited under the PM VIKAS Scheme at CSIR–Central Mechanical Engineering Research Institute, Durgapur. Eligibility criteria for the respective Job Roles have been provided in the following table. Selected candidates will receive hands-on training, technical guidance and exposure to modern tools. CSIR-CMERI ensures quality skill development aligned with industry needs.
