Advanced Design And Analysis Group

The 'Advanced Design and Analysis Group (ADAG)’ at CSIR-CMERI is involved in the areas of Design and Analysis that integrate science  to the understanding of mechanical systems and the design process, including the development of applications meeting industrial, societal and strategic needs.

The capabilities and experience of the group is in design and analysis that include but are not limited to: Technologies related to Accelerator Physics, Aerospace, Automotive, Biomechanics, Special Purpose Machines, Manufacturing, Chemical and Renewable Energy. The group has extensive experience in a wide range of industrial and research projects and has worked with several academic and industrial partners to deliver successful results as per the mission and mandate of the Laboratory.

Activities:

The Group has the following recent activities:

  • Design Of Beam Stoppers For Super-FRS In FAIR (Facility for Anti-Proton and Ion Research) Project at GSI, Darmstadt, Germany.
  • Design And Development Of  Force Reflecting System (FRS) For Human Grasping Action
  • Mathematical Modelling And Numerical Simulation Of Underground Coal Gasification Process
  • Numerical Modelling Of Multiphase Flow, Solid-Liquid Phase Transformation, Reactive Flow And Bluff Body Flows
