The 'Advanced Design and Analysis Group (ADAG)’ at CSIR-CMERI is involved in the areas of Design and Analysis that integrate science to the understanding of mechanical systems and the design process, including the development of applications meeting industrial, societal and strategic needs.
The capabilities and experience of the group is in design and analysis that include but are not limited to: Technologies related to Accelerator Physics, Aerospace, Automotive, Biomechanics, Special Purpose Machines, Manufacturing, Chemical and Renewable Energy. The group has extensive experience in a wide range of industrial and research projects and has worked with several academic and industrial partners to deliver successful results as per the mission and mandate of the Laboratory.

- Design Of Beam Stoppers For Super-FRS In FAIR (Facility for Anti-Proton and Ion Research) Project at GSI, Darmstadt, Germany.
- Design And Development Of Force Reflecting System (FRS) For Human Grasping Action
- Mathematical Modelling And Numerical Simulation Of Underground Coal Gasification Process
- Numerical Modelling Of Multiphase Flow, Solid-Liquid Phase Transformation, Reactive Flow And Bluff Body Flows
- Design And Development Of Farm Tractor and Mechanized Implements
- Battery Thermal Management Through Use Of PCM Based Materials


Contribution to the Design and Development of First successfully tested indigenous RFQ LINAC at Variable Energy Cyclotron Center (VECC), Dept. of Atomic Energy under Collaborative Research Programme with VECC(DAE), Kolkata. The system was 2nd in ASIA after Japan and with successful testing INDIA JOINS THE ELITE CLUB OF 6 NATIONS.
