Graphite oxide

Graphite oxide is available as solid powder in small and bulk amount. Graphite oxide is the mother of all types of chemically derived graphene. The graphite oxide is highly dispersible in water/various organic solvents. It contains carboxyl (-COOH), hydroxyl (-OH), epoxide (-C-O-C-), etc. oxygen containing functional groups and the oxygen content is ~30%. The graphite oxide consists of more than 100 layers but can be easily separated into single layers by ultrasonication followed by centrifugation at 3000 rpm to remove the un-exfoliated layers or un-reacted graphite.

Graphene Oxide (GO)

GO is available in two forms: dispersed in water/organic solvents and as solid powder (freeze dried). The concentration of GO in solvent is 1 mg/ml.
