DEVELOPMENT OF PREPAYMENT MECHANISM FOR CONVENTIONAL ENERGY METER WITH SUITABLE HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE FOR SOLAR POWER APPLICATION
The present post paid conventional bill payment for electrical energy is not convenient to the user for its laborious time consuming nature.
IS SOLAR POWER PLANT –due to distribution loss the net power available to the customer changes according to the geographical position for which the payment of electricity bill creates a major problem.
Present conventional electricity meter needs periodic meter reading which is highly cost intensive as well as laborious job.
Particularly for solar application where the energy is not very efficient there is no control over the overload burden in the particular house- which in turn consumes non uniform power as per own requirement.
Present invention of payment of electricity bill through smart card before actual consumption of power solves these problems.
Related to payment of electricity bill through smart card which is more secure method and more communicative to the customer through inbuilt intelligence of the system.
The prepaid intelligent meter solves these problems as customer directly interacts with the meter more easily through display unit AND the smart card instead of hard cash transaction. Also the amount of consumption directly visible through the display unit in real time which is not possible in conventional meter.
The inbuilt intelligence is
responsible for intelligent load control
depending on some other factor, - so that the
consumer cannot consume a larger amount of power
at a time for which the power will automatically
tripped by the meter itself.

On the other hand prepaid billing system through smart card is more convenient and user interactive for it’s efficient way of cash transaction and payment of electricity bill before the consumption of power.
Particular for solar application where the generated electricity not very efficient compared to thermal – this system of payment more useful compared to the present system and misuse of power will also less due to load control feature.
